Clarification Text on the Processing of Personal Data of the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund within the framework of the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698
As the Saving Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), we show maximum
sensitivity to the processing and storage of Personal Data in accordance with the Law on the
Protection of Personal Data (“Law”). In accordance with the Law, as a Data Controller, we
process your personal data as explained below and within the limits ordered by the legislation.
In this context, we would like to inform you about our aims and methods of collecting,
processing and transferring personal data and your rights rising from the Law.
1.Personal Data Collection Method and Legal Reason
Your personal data is collected via offices and other physical environments where
you can contact the TMSF, its agents, sales offices or other subcontractors or business
partners, call centers, websites, mobile applications and similar electronic transaction
platforms, social media or other public channels or through organized training courses. are
collected in written, oral, audio or video recording or other physical or electronic media
through your participation in conferences and similar environments or through other group
companies or other contracted persons and organizations. Your collected personal data can be
processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this Clarification Text within the scope
of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law
No. 6698.
2.Processing of Personal Data and Its Purposes
Your collected personal data, fulfillment of obligations, informing about updates,
establishing and performing contracts with you, reminding and fulfilling legal obligations, carrying
out various advertising and marketing activities, asking your opinion through surveys and voting,
determining products, projects and services, and customizing them for you, and development,
providing effective customer service, notifying changes in legislation or policies or making other
notifications, birthday celebrations, being included in sweepstakes or competitions, giving gifts
and other similar events, promotions and campaigns in your favor, sending you e-mail, SMS and to
inform by fax, to inform you about campaigns, to send you printed bulletins, magazines, articles
about campaigns, to determine our visitor profiles, to evaluate requests, requests and complaints,
to answer your requests and questions, are processed for limited purposes only.
It must be stated that; we process your personal data in accordance with the law and honesty,
accurately and, when necessary, within the framework of up-to-date, specific, clear and legitimate
purposes, in connection with the purpose for which they are processed, limited and measured, and for
the period required by the relevant legislation or for the purpose for which they are processed.
During no expressly stated your personal data in the Law, it will be processed during the existence
of the valid reason and purpose for the storage of the data, and if the purpose and reason for the
processing disappears or ends, it will be deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

3. Transfer of Personal Data
Provided that your processed personal data complies with the conditions stipulated in
Article 8/2(a) of the Law No. 6698 and takes the necessary security measures, our indirect/direct
domestic affiliates or subsidiaries, our company receives service/support/consultancy or to
domestic, public/private institutions and organizations, companies and other 3rd persons or
organizations with which we cooperate or are project/program/financing partners, our company's
affiliates, consultants, share-holders or solution partners to other group companies and other
authorized institutions may be transferred to its suppliers or subcontractors.
4. Your Processed Personal Data
As stated above, the TMSF records and processes certain personal data belonging to
you. In this context, the data that the TMSF processes about you may include points as follows:
- Personal Identity Information (Name, Surname, Identity number, date of birth, etc.)
- Contact Information, (Phone, e-mail address)
- Income status
- Address information
- Educational status
- Marital status
- Number of children
5. Rights of Personal Data Owner
In accordance with Article 11 of the Law, data owners;
- Learning whether personal data is processed or not,
- Learning whether personal data is processed or not,
- Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with its purpose,
- Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
- Requesting correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and requesting notification of the transaction made within this scope to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
- Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist despite the fact that it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the law and other relevant laws, and requesting that the transaction carried out within this scope be notified to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
- Objecting to the emergence of a result against the person himself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- In the event that personal data is suffered a loss due to unlawful processing, it has the rights to demand the compensation of the damage.
If you want to exercise your mentioned rights, you can contact the TMSF management.
The contact information of the TMSF is presented to your attention at the end of this clarification
text. In this context, if the personal data owner exercises her/his rights listed in Article 11 of
the Law, the TMSF will fulfill the relevant requests.
